An alien race ,called souls, has taken over the earth by implanting themselves in to humans. A soul named wanderer gets put into her human( Melanie ),but little did she know that her host could fight back.Melanie start’s showing wanderer memories of her past including her little brother jamie and “friend” Jared. Wanderer follows Melanie’s directions to a place in the middle of nowhere that supposedly housed the last of the human race,in attempted to get Melanie back to her family. But choices must be made, loves must be chosen, and unlikely friends must bond.
The host is a amazing book by Stephanie Meyer.it’s so intense and is impossible not to love the characters.this book was also written in the first person so I could truly feel everything wanderer did. This book was turned into a movie as well, that wasn’t much like the book but I think it was still amazing. I give this 5/5 stars.
I went to the “If I stay” screening yesterday ,at the sunset mall.I arrived there at 4:00 and about 45 people were ahead of me. I meet at least 5 new fangirl friends,( yet it didn’t dawn on me that I should take a picture with them. Sometimes I can be so stupid) we talk about all the fandoms we were into, and even recommend books to each other.it was absolutely amazing to see people gather together of all ages and fully love something so much, I swear I could smell the passion in the air.
It was even raining, yes I said raining. Not REALLY bad, but I definitely got wet.
By 5:00 the line was HUGE.
Then around 6:30 the people let us in to the theater that would soon fill 402 fangirls. (We weren’t supposed to have our phones on, but we’re fangerent we can’t be controlled)
Then right before the movie started I saw dreamymarie(not sure if you minded me putting your name so I left you instagram username) a fangirl friend ,and page to premier reporter. She is absolutely amazing, you can’t help but smile around her and want to become her friend.she’s just so happy and enthusiastic.( I smiled like a total loser there but whatever)
Over all I had an amazing time.it’s something I will never forget.
By the way I will be posting a If I stay movie review very soon
Daemon is determined to prove to Katy that what he feels for her is more than a product of their bizarro connection. So of course she’s sworn him off, even if he’s running more hot than cold these days. But they’ve got bigger problems. Katy stared seeing someone who shouldn’t be alive, and starts asking the tough questions. What happened to Daemon’s brother? Who betrayed him?And what does the DOD want from them-from Katy.little does she know, the answers are right under their noises.
If I were asked to some up this book in one word,it would be feels.this book had me going on an emotional rollercoaster, full of both highs and lows.I can proudly say if finished onyx in one day and 5hours. I found myself being both pissed off at Katy and proud of her at the same time, and I know I can’t say that about a lot of characters . Also I’m definitely on an Daemon withdraw.I mean seriously the hot get hotter.sadly I have to wait until I go to Barnes and nobles again.I have completely fell in love with this series and recommend it more than any other books I’ve read this year. I give this baby 5/5 stars.
A 17 year old girl named Katy and her mom, moved from the sunny outgoing state of Florida, to practically to middle of nowhere in Petersburg . Katy misses a lot about Florida but she mostly misses her dad,Who died 3 years ago from cancer.little does she know that nothing will ever be the same. When she meets her hot neighbor Daemon Black, and his sister Dee,she thinks nothing about their strange behavior. But when The truth comes out that their aliens everything goes downhill from there.then to add on to this epic recipe for disaster Katy finds out that there are more aliens in town, and some want nothing more than Katy and Daemon dead. This book is a fast paced rollercoaster with life, death, and an impending romance.
This book was amazingly written and I couldn’t put it down. I loved how Katy was a fangirl and how I could find things she said relatable. I also love the fact that her dad even though he’s dead has a huge part in the story. He represented her strength and inspiration. Then there’s the romance between Katy and Daemon, that’s sometimes hilarious ,I mean who couldn’t like that.I give this book 5/5 stars and highly recommend it.
